Great hire for the whole of my holiday.

Was based in Sao Martinho do Porto for almost 4 weeks in May/June 2025. Hired an e-bike from Irondeer for most of that time. Very good communications in run up to holiday. Great bike, Vasco explained essentials well (charging etc), great kit, all additionals (helmet, tools, panniers) in great condition.

Used Irondeer for 2* 1/2 day hires for my guests who stayed with me.
Again easy to book/communicate.

Could not fault the service - will be back one day!

If you are considering scheduling a guided bike tour or bike rental from Irondeer and the owner Vasco, the answer is "YES!" Without hesitation! Vasco is one of the nicest people you will meet, and is patient, careful, knowledgeable, multi-lingual, and accommodating. My husband and I hired Vasco to guide us for two days of biking along Portugal's coast -- from Nazare heading South one day and then heading North the next day. Both days were fantastic and we enjoyed ourselves immensely! We requested to make a few changes to the itinerary of the 2nd day, and Vasco was extremely flexible and helpful in making those changes. The bikes he uses are premier -- you're in for a great time! So my advice would just be to be very clear on your preferences -- paved road only, off-road trails okay, etc. He can show you all of it! And if you're lucky, he'll bring his camera and share the photos he takes.

The guided tour and the equipment was a fantastic experience and scenery in beautiful nature and passing small villages.
We ride 81 km and climbed 1800 m. The bike was a carbon MTB with 12 gears from Shimano. I borrow a helmet and gloves and Vasco supported me with drinks and pizza etc on pittoresk cafés and restaurants.
I can highly recommend this place both for renting top modern bikes and also do guided tours. A wonderful and great experience and good exercise!

We had an amazing day doing the Silver Coast Sur bike tour with Vasco! Our family of 4 wanted an active and adventurous way to see sights along the coastline during our 10 day roadtrip. Irondeer delivered! Beautiful and interesting viewpoints we never would have seen otherwise. Vasco was professional, patient, and super friendly. I would say that this particular tour route requires physical stamina but if you’re moderately active you’ll be fine. E-bikes are easy to learn and Vasco has really nice and well maintained equipment. This was one of the highlights of our trip. Thank you Vasco!
